The Town of Danvers offers the following benefits to benefit eligible, active employees and/or retirees: (benefit eligible employees are those individuals who work 20 hours or more per week)

HEALTH INSURANCE

The Town of Danvers offers the following benefits to benefit eligible active employees and retirees: Tufts HMO Value Plan, Tufts PPO and Tufts Medcare Preferred for Seniors. 70% of health insurance premiums are paid by the Town.

The Town also pays the $250.00 co-pay for each in or out patient hospitalization.

DENTAL INSURANCE

Delta Dental of Massachusetts provides employees with coverage for dental services from a network of more than 5,000 participating dentists.  50% of the premium cost is paid by the Town.

LIFE INSURANCE

The Town offers Basic and Optional Group Life Insurance in the amount of $10,000 through Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company to all active, benefit-eligible employees at a cost of $5.80/month.

Additional Optional Life Insurance is also available for purchase and sold in $1,000 increments up to $1,000 less than the employee's annual salary, with a maximum of $74,000.  Premiums are based upon the employee's age, with Basic Life as a pre-requisite.

ICMA 457 DEFERRED COMPENSATION PLAN

In addition to the Town of Danvers Retirement System, the Town offers an optional 457 Deferred Compensation Retirement Plan to its active, full-time, employees.  This is a pre-tax deduction taken each pay period in the amount elected by the employee.  There is no open enrollment period for this plan...the employee may sign up at any time during his/her employment with the Town.

125 FLEXIBLE SPENDING PLAN

The Town of Danvers offers its full-time active employees the opportunity to take advantage of a 125 Flexible Spending Plan administered by the Sentinel Benefits Group.  This plan is a pre-tax deduction and reimburses the employee for any out-of-pocket medical expenses or dependent day care expenses he/she may incur during a calendar year.

The open enrollment period for this plan is from October 1st through October 31st of each calendar year for the following calendar year. 

 

In addition to the benefits listed above, the Town of Danvers also offers paid vacation, sick leave, personal days, 11 paid holidays, direct deposit and opportunity for credit union membership.
