Transfer Station Drop-Off Information
Fees & Materials Accepted:
  • Residents can dispose of household trash & miscellaneous metal for $0.06 per pound (starting January 1, 2017) at the Transfer Station. Proof of residency is required.
  • Credit cards or debit cards are the only form of payment accepted.
  • The following can be disposed of for a $25 fee:
    • Televisions, Computer Monitors, Appliances, Mattresses, Furniture, Tires & Other Miscellaneous Bulky Items
  • Items accepted Free of Charge include:
    • Mercury bearing products (fluorescent lights, thermostats, thermometers, etc.), button batteries, rechargeable batteries & American Flags
  • CONDO and APARTMENT residents without curbside pickup can bring their RECYCLING to the Transfer Station on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
  • RIGID PLASTICS may be recycled at the Transfer Station on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
  • No construction & demolition materials, masonry debris, stumps, sweepings or excavated materials will be accepted.

Yard Waste Drop Off

  • YARD WASTE is accepted Monday - Saturday from 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
  • A $15 sticker for unlimited brush/yard waste (valid for the calendar year), must first be purchased at the Clerk's Office in Town Hall or at the Business Division on Burroughs Street (cash or check only).
  • To purchase a sticker, you must provide proof of Danvers' residency including your driver's license and vehicle registration.
  • Acceptable vehicles (one per household) shall be automobiles, pick up trucks and trailers up to 3/4 ton - no dump trucks or dump trailers. No vehicles with commercial plates allowed.
  • Stickers are to be permanently affixed on the driver’s side of the car close to the front.
  • Yard waste shall come from residence shown on drivers license and registration.
  • Absolutely no yard waste will be accepted originating from outside the Town of Danvers.
  • Brush will be accepted up to 4 feet in length and not more than 18 inches in diameter.
  • Brush must be separated from leaves/grass clippings.
  • Users must follow Transfer Station rules.
