Retirement Board Vacancy

 

The Town of Danvers Contributory Retirement System is seeking an individual to serve on the five member Retirement Board.  The term is three years, and the member cannot be an employee of the Town of Danvers, retiree of the system, or official (elected or appointed) of the town.

 

The Board independently governs the town’s retirement system as it relates to benefits, membership, and accounting.  Board members also have a fiduciary responsibility for management of the investment portfolio presently totaling approximately 70 million dollars.  Experience in the fields of investing, employee benefits, or actuarial consulting, are helpful, but not necessary.

 

The Board meets monthly and members are not compensated.  Anyone interested in serving on the Board should send a letter of interest to the Retirement Office, Town Hall,

Danvers, MA 01923 no later than September 24th, 2010.

DPW METER REPLACEMENT

 

Have you been notified that your water or electric meter is being replaced as part of the DPW Meter Replacement Pilot Program?  If so, check out the following video called “What to expect during your meter replacement”.

 

In order to access it, just follow these steps.

 

1.       Go to http://www.danverstv.org/home.htm

2.       At the top of the page, click the Video on Demand Button.

3.       In the new window, you will see a menu on the right. Click the heading that says “Town Hall Television”

4.       The Meter Replacement Program video should be the very first one in the list.

5.       Click the video and it will start to play automatically, and it could take a couple of seconds to load.
