Beware of some home improvement vendors. A company doing business as Hamilton Ives Corporation has been approaching Danvers homeowners with offers of chimney sweeping. Upon inspection, further chimney work is needed. The company has not obtained required building permits for the work and the work has been found not to comply with the Massachusetts Building Code.
