The Town of Danvers Contributory Retirement System is seeking an individual to serve on the five member Retirement Board.The term is three years, and the member cannot be an employee of the Town of Danvers, retiree of the system, or official (elected or appointed) of the town.
The Board independently governs the town’s retirement system as it relates to benefits, membership, and accounting.Board members also have a fiduciary responsibility for management of the investment portfolio presently totaling approximately 70 million dollars.Experience in the fields of investing, employee benefits, or actuarial consulting, are helpful, but not necessary.
The Board meets monthly and members are not compensated. Anyone interested in serving on the Board should send a letter of interest to the Retirement Office, Town Hall,
Danvers, MA01923 no later than September 24th, 2010.
